Bringing a global brand to a local market

Hyundai Capital India needed a digital presence that could feel unmistakably part of the global Hyundai Capital brand while speaking naturally to the Indian market.

The challenge went beyond creating a visually consistent website. The experience had to translate global brand guidelines into a local digital journey, while presenting financial products and information in a way that was clear, credible and easy for Indian retail customers and automobile dealers to navigate.

For a financial services organisation, the website also needed to meet the expectations of Indian regulations and that of a secure, enterprise-grade digital environment.

Tellable's approach

Tellable brought together storytelling, UX thinking and technology to build the website from the ground up.

Instead of looking at the website as a collection of pages, we imagined a communication journey. The information architecture, content hierarchy and user journeys were designed around what different audiences would need to find, understand and act on.

The global Hyundai Capital brand guidelines provided the foundation. Our job was to interpret them for the Indian market without diluting the brand.

This meant making deliberate decisions around visual language, content presentation, navigation and interaction, so that the final experience felt both globally consistent and locally relevant.

The brand team, based on South Korea, was incredibly patient and supportive during this process. You could think of the distance between Chennai and Seoul in terms of a 20 hour flight or a 3.5 hour time difference. But in our case, the distance turned out to be merely a few clicks and chats.

Design meets technology

The engagement brought together our creative and technical capabilities.

Figma was used to develop the interface, establish the visual system and translate the brand guidelines into a coherent digital experience.

The website was then developed using Bootstrap, giving us a robust, responsive foundation while allowing the interface to retain the intended design and user experience.

Security and reliability were also built into the engagement. The website was hosted in a secure cloud environment with a disaster recovery server, regular automated backups and UptimeRobot monitoring to continuously track availability and ensure issues could be identified and addressed quickly.

All of these resulted in zero UAT and 100% customer satisfaction.

Tellable understood our vision and translated it into a website that stayed true to our global standards.

The Tellable difference

The scale of the engagement demanded more than design or development in isolation.

It required us to understand the business, think about how information should be communicated, translate brand principles into stories and experiences, and then bring those decisions to life technically.

That combination is where Tellable sits: at the intersection of storytelling, design and technology.
